This past Sunday, while walking around in Soho (a longer “here’s where & how to shop in Soho” post to come) before meeting some old high school girlfriends at Westville Hudson (2 words: Breakfast Burrito), I stumbled upon something magical. The kind of spectacular, perfect place that doesn’t exist when you try to go back the next day with friends to prove its existence. And if you don’t go before May 31st, that will be the literal case. Because it’s a pop-up shop. And unfortunately, it can’t make all of our home-goods dreams come true forever.
Kate Spade. I’ve loved the brand for a few years now – and aside from some purses & jackets, I have purchased some home items in their regular store (this keys/sunglasses tray, this pencil cup, and the best coffee table book ever) – but the ante has been upped for my love of Kate Spade and her brilliant home decorating. The couches! The chandeliers! The dish towels! I felt a sort of happy daze/drunk walking through the space (and this was before the two Bellini’s at Westville) because of 1) how organized and effortless everything was (I’m a Virgo) 2) the seriously nice staff that have been for sure meticulously trained to make you feel sort of famous/like you’re the exact kind of girl who deserves to live in this pop-up shop? I cannot explain it. They were awesome.
Familiarize yourself with (memorize) the hours and location: 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. Monday-Saturday, 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. on Sundays. 411 W. Broadway. #MakeYourselfAHome
I am legitimately shocked beyond belief that all I walked away with from this store was a pair of delightfully charming oven mitts (the green and the black).
Before continuing on and showing you all of the glorious aspects of this pop-up shop, I feel obligated to tell you that there is a surprise sale going on RIGHT THIS MOMENT on Kate Spade’s website. Here you go: click here for perfect things.
New Yorker girl twins out there – if you want to experience this heaven, let’s go. I’m always down for some Kate Spade Home shopping.
