Here is a mighty fast run down of what I’ve been up to, the restaurants you have to eat yourself sick at, the movies that made me weep or laugh or scream in fear, the weird ‘only in New York’-y stuff, and all. that. jazz.
Must Drink & Dance at: Bar None for throw back music and to be hit on to feel better and then leave (great night with Ms. Alexis Fehervari).
Must Scrub It Off at: Juvenex – a 24 hour Korean Spa that boasts the most invigorating treatments I’ve ever heard of. (Ask for Lisa)
Must Watch: Welcome To Pine Hill (because it was written & directed by my brilliant professor, Keith Miller, and because it’s awesome)
Must Watch To Laugh With Friends: The Woman In Black 2 (Made for an incredibly hysterical evening with the London gals). Oh, and it’s necessary to eat at Barn Joo beforehand (best Bulgogi!!)
Must GNO at: Leonora. Because it’s posh.
Must Do Your Latin Thing At: Anejo Tribeca. Who knows, you could run into Bey and Jay.
Must Diner At: Big Daddy’s. And possibly attend their Fifty Shades of Grey trivia night coming up…
Must Oscar-Ready At: IFC Center for their annual roundup of live-action and animated shorts! Saw the live-action, and they were a pretty fantastic bunch.
Must Broadway At: Well if you haven’t yet seen Book of Mormon with the multi-talented Charlie Franklin, SEE THAT. But if you also want to catch Bradley Cooper in his underwear (no lie) before he heads to the Oscars, hurry up and see The Elephant Man (and Patricia Clarkson’s boobs)
Must Coffee At: La Colombe. Holy ef, hemp milk latte. Where have you been all my life?
Must Hot Chocolate At: Mighty Pie. Will probably be there every afternoon for the rest of my life. Thanks a lot, perfectly crafted Middle Eastern hot chocolate.
Must Be In Awe and Amazement At: The King’s Theater. $95 million renovation – culminating in me wishing I was born in the 1920s and could act like Lady Mary. Plus, so many amazing shows coming up (someone please invite me to go see Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons on March 21st)
Must Get Your Little Mermaid On At: The Mermaid Oyster Bar on Macdougal Street. Otherwise known as, my favorite street in New York (Cafe Reggio, Comedy Cellar, Artichoke Pizza?!)
Must Read To Be A Successful Start Up: Business Model Generation. Just heard Alexander Osterwalder and his co-authors speak at NYU and was completely convinced that I can be as amazing as Steve Jobs.
