Hello all – I first wrote this back in August of 2014 when I was re-launching the blog in all its new pretty glory. I just re-read it, and the words really resonate with me for what I want to do going forward in 2016. I hope you all take it to heart, too! I call this a “Check In” because I had a teacher once who would go around the room and ask us all to check in with the rest of the class before we started any work – how we were feeling emotionally, physically – whatever. I always appreciated that. Work is not the be all, end all.
I may be at a different place now than I was when I wrote it (19-years-old, still in college, at home for the summer, not yet head over heels in love with a Mr. Nick Gash) but it makes me think that you’re always you, you can always be you, wherever and whenever you are. That is comforting. The kind of “mission statement” below is how I still want this blog to be. Thank you for reading.
Thank you so much for visiting Miss City Discovers and taking a look around. I’m so excited to get out and take full advantage of all New York has to offer. Andddd all Netflix, my oven, and my yoga mat have to offer from the comfort of my home! I hope you’re ready to do it all with me!
I would super-love and be forever grateful to all of you who sign up with their emails in the top right corner so you can receive a weekly update of my posts!
Please like and share the FB page with your friends, family and whoever else to spread the productive-life love!
Always feel free to reach out at any time — let’s get dinner and see a movie! Lean in ladies (and gents). Let’s be happy, attempt a great subway/taxi ratio as we go on this journey, and always say Good Morning.
